Peer Recovery Support Specialist, Alumni Coordinator
William Hall is the Pillar Alumni Program Coordinator and Behavioral Health Technician at Cornerstone Recovery Center. He was the first alumnus of Cornerstone Recovery Center’s program to become an employee. Since William is intimately familiar with the process of recovery and has been through all of our treatment programs, he serves as an excellent part of the support team for current clients and alumni.
William entered Cornerstone Recovery Center’s Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) in 2013 at a time in his life when he needed help. He then stepped down to our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) and eventually completed treatment in our Outpatient Program (OP). He had been diagnosed with colon cancer and had much difficulty coping with the looming treatments ahead of him. While in treatment at Cornerstone, he successfully completed his chemotherapy and radiation treatments and is now in remission. He feels he owes his life to Cornerstone, which has become his second home. The Cornerstone staff was with him every step of the way throughout his battle with cancer and addiction. William is currently in remission and thanks God every day for Cornerstone, the counselors, and staff “that held me up when I could not.” His favorite quotes are “Accept What Is, Let Go of What Was, Have Faith In What Will Be” and “Be still and KNOW that I am God.”
