Kathryn Simmons

  • Day Lead Behavioral Health Technician

Kathryn is responsible for maintaining a safe environment for our clients and organizing transportation for groups, appointments, and client activities.

She has been working in addiction treatment for over a year and a half. Her experience and knowledge come from her own journey through 13 years of addiction. Kathryn has been in recovery for over two and a half years, in which time she developed a working knowledge of the 12-step program. She takes an active role in the recovery community by attending 12-step meetings, working with her sponsor, and sponsoring other women outside of work.

When asked what sets Cornerstone apart from other facilities where she has worked, Kathryn explained that Cornerstone’s staff works cohesively as a team and truly cares about their clients’ recovery and transition back into society. “I have been through quite a bit since working here, and I have always been taken care of,” she says. “I’ve never been more happy to come to work.”
